Get it going over the summer when there's nothing else to do around here.

I feel bad for this assassin, it really wasn't their fault.

I don't blame the start of the semester at all. This game was going pretty strong toward the end of the semester.

Maybe the game is getting old? Maybe previous shitty assassins ruined the game? Maybe the new rule changes aren't fun?

IDK.

I think that the game is just getting old and needs a break to be interesting again.

I confess, I was the assassin.

Changing the rules was an attempt to promote collaboration amongst the masses to increase participation and communication since you couldn't protect someone all by yourself.

I tried to put the game on pause because I had a feeling it was getting old for people as it was.

It's definitely time for a break. Lets put this one to bed.

EDIT: I guess Irony took care of it for me.

Dick. I guess I should be careful about who I piss off in return for pissing me off.

I think the rule change had the opposite effect - too much work for people to collaborate among 10 people for 3 protects.

I propose a rule change for the next round:

There are still 10 officers, but 5 sheriffs and 5 deputies (or whatever rank you make them). Each officer can accuse but only an officer pair can make an accusation - thus there are only 5 protects but each player only has to collaborate with one other.

i dont really have an issue with you outside of you deciding to ignore me because i dont agree that everything is perfect in sabreland, and they have some holes to address. thats not negativity, thats just me having concerns.

What you just said is not negativity.

yes. i see a goalie standing on his fucking head game after game, while an average team plays hockey on some nights, and takes other nights off.

That is negativity.

There's a difference between finding ways to suggest there are holes to fill, and saying that a first place team is average and is saved by a goaltender standing on his head night after night.

I've already said that I wouldn't mind improvements. But not wholesale changes. And I give credit where credit is due.

Except for the first period of the Ducks game, and the first two of the Islanders game that I attended, I haven't seen the Sabres take a night off since early December.

Most of the time I have no problem with your posts, but every now and then you drop a bombshell like that one.

i do think they are an average team to a slightly above average team with a fucking rad ass goalie in net. with a few upgrades, this team could become a very dangerous team, much more so then now.

i dont think thats negativity at all. me being negative would be "oh, theyll blow it. forsure. wont even make the playoffs." THATS negativity.

but the team does take nights off. maybe not so frequently as before, but it happens. and bad habits form, and they are crushing to break. i dont want to say im being realistic, because thats frowned upon, but im being cautious. and thats ok with me. ill cannonball in the pool when i feel the water is warm enough. its not there yet, to me. not when i see just too many inconsistencies.

The game died down because some people didn't want to put in the time with it again.

The rules should just be changed back to the original rules once again. I mean whoever the next assassin will be they can do that, but I think cut out some of the added rules, add some new and improved rules to the game from the original.

Make them basically simpler.

10 officers, 10 protects, each officer gets a co-accusation and single accusation, doesn't matter which they use first, but once both are gone they are done.

Change it up a bit there, and many of the previous assassins used text clues, I also think if you used more pictures, videos, music and such other than just text based clues more people are interested in them, but that could just be me also.

Put the game on hold until after the olympics maybe, then pick a new assassin, have them overhaul the rules of the game the way they seem fit, and the game will be a success again.

We also need to get other people involved, as I got tired of the game being involved in most of them until the last few also. If you're an officer in say round 5, you can't be an officer in round 6, but when round 7 you can be again, make other people be able to play as some were left out because the normal say 8 people would be an officer each round.

It's a fun game, but the rules need to be changed a bit.
