Being the taphophile that I am, this is how I spent my weekend.
I was hoping to see some orbs, but they apparently didn't want to make an appearance.

This crpyt was amazing but in horrible disrepair



The inner doors were gone so I stuck my camera between the iron gate and wall to find this



This one was even better. A crypt had been completely looted. No coffins or bodies. Just the poles that held the caskets up

This, is creepy as hell! But cool in the same breath!!!

I have always been struck by the unkempt markers. Small, badly eroded sandstone and shale stones, worn almost smooth by time and the elements. It has always saddened me to see the end-product of all of one's days - An entire life, gone and neglected. No survivors to tend to their loved ones - The survivors long-dead.

And their markers, as well, equally untended. Lives gone by and unacknowledged, as though they had never existed. So many heart-beats. So many smiles and tears. So many dreams...Lost and forgotten.

There was an overlook in there where you could see forever

if you ever do a cemetary hunt in syracuse there is a good one there (the one phil is talking about) called oakwood

Nice picture! I will put it on my list of cemeteries to visit next time I'm there.

If you guys are into cemeteries PLEASE check out Mike Lynaugh's professional photo's of EVERGREEN CEMETERY in VIRGINIA. I thought the one I visited was in disrepair, the one in VA has visible skulls and random bones. They are captivating pictures
