I'm probably in the minority because I'm mainly a PC gamer and I prefer RTS and D&D based RPG's....but holy crap Dragon Age kicks ass.

If anyone out there is a fan of:
Baldurs Gate
Icewind Dale
Morrowind
Neverwinter Nights
Hell...even Diablo

I suggest you check this game out. I just started it yesterday and I can already tell I won't have enough time to devote to it.
Bioware basically took all the good stuff from Baldurs Gate (Like full party control) and added all of the advancements from the Neverwinter Nights series and put them together.
It's a mix of real time and turn by turn and it's highly addictive if you like those things and are a control freak.

Oh...it's also a complete bloodbath from the very beginning :D

Sounds really good. I'll have to look into it. I played Bioware's Mass Effect and really enjoyed that, even though it is partially a FPS. I've had my eye on this game for a while, but no cash really, so maybe either I'll have to wait till it hits the markdown bin or my family celebrates Christmas, so that might be a possibility.

Games like these take a shit ton of time though...
Summer may be a better option for me and this game to get aquainted :P

I don't play video games or PC games anymore...no time...

But then again, when StarCraft II comes out, I'll probably JIMP and buy it during the midnight release :D

Yeah...obviously with a job and a kid I don't have the gaming time I once did...let's just say I made time for Dragon Age yesterday. Up til 3am :)

I have an understanding wife.

It's a good thing you have a wife too. I'm imagining what it would be like for you to pick a girl up with the line "Hey babe, I was up until 3 AM playing dragon age last night". You'd end up using your hands for more than just video games unless you found just the right girl. ;)

Well, we met in a datacenter after pulling an all-nighter wiring a new network together...she's just the right girl. ;)

Are you playing on PC or console?

I'm playing on PC but I've heard some reviews knock some limitations in the console versions.

This is a good review
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/dragonag ... ead-review

Xbox gets knocked for having the worst graphics of the 3 and both Xbox and PS3 have a limited experience, camera controls and party control when compared to the PC version.

IMHO...this game should be played on a PC.
The complexity lends itself to a keyboard / mouse combo rather than a game controller.

I have it for PS3, it's not too bad to manage actually.

The game is possibly more epic than Fable, more in depth than Morrowind, and more innovative than Final Fantasy. All in all I give it a 10/10; and can't wait to see what Bioware and Lucas Arts come up with for Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO...because if it's half as fun as this, I will spend several hours in front of my computer.

If my PC could run this well, I'd be all over it. Might pick it up for my 360, though.

Yeah, that's the killer.

I've got a rig that I use almost exclusively for gaming that gets upgraded and overhauled about once a year.
