Anyone else have this game? I just got it and I'm enjoying it so far. I really like the stick controller. I had NHL 2K9 and I just hated trying to play with the wand and the numchuck, so much so that I never really played. So Slapshot has the ease of control aspect that other Wii hockey games I've tried don't have.

I, um, acquired NHL10 for the Wii last year and while the use of the controllers to shoot and hit was unique, the novelty wore off pretty quickly and I only played it a handful of times.

I'd be interested to try another though...is it an actual stick?

I told my sister she should buy it, but she hasn't.

As I said in the GDT, the call on Rivet was horseshit. The Bruins player was holding onto Rivet's stick like it was the last fucking raft on the Titanic.

It's a mini-stick. You snap the wand into the bottom, and the numchuk into the handle. So you use the directional controller with your thumb and swing the stick to shoot/pass/check (the way you check is by physically cross-checking someone BTW).

That's the one I'm doing since I never actually played any organized hockey. Who'd have known I'd be so highly rated going into the bantam draft.
