i played an awesome game against the baby pens, and they took a 2-1 lead late in the third. i scored with 43 seconds to go to tie it, and then a long slapshot found the net with 13 seconds to go. i always seem to come back. my only gripe is i had 10 penalties to their 0.

I played a game against the Pens, and I ended up with 69 PIMs, and they had like 65.

Had like 5 fights in the game and always roughing it out after the whistle.

Only time I play the AHL games is when I get sent down with my BAP player, other than that, I won't play them.

I deke right and left twice, then i pull the puck back, then swing it left and usually i have the right side open to forehand it in.

I've gotten lucky on SO's in 09, just deke the shit and shoot, and sometimes it goes in and othertimes it wouldn't.

But normally I never went into the SO, I either won or lost in OT, or flat out won in REG or lost.

Just got 09, won 1-0 against montreal and then lost 0-1 in OT against Detroit... I like the game though. My Hecht-Gausdad-Grier line is by far my favorite.

Playing on Hardcore and Allstar/Superstar is crazy realistic, but it is fucking hard.

I have a "Be a Gm Mode" going. Myers is leading the team in points with 3 goals and an 12 assists in 22 games. I'm 11-9-2 right now.

Just started a "Be a Pro" offensive defensmen. Got drafted by Pheonix 11th overall, but got sent down to the ahl after 5 games with the big club. I've been doing fine offensively but my defensive positioning needs work. I play way too aggressive sometimes.

So basically in Be a Gm I suck at offense
and in Be a Pro I suck at defense

its awesome learning and getting better though

Why did you get 09, compared to 09 and 10 is light years apart.

09 is soooo much easier to score than 10. All you need to do really is streak done the opposite side the player shoots, he is right handed go down the left side of the ice, Protect the puck around the defense and go right to the goalie and shoot the puck.

In my BAP mode I ended up scoring something like 90 goals, and more than half of them were from that way.

Mainly because no one else on the team went to the net so you had to do everything by yourself.

Alright in NHL 10 BAP mode, you get 4 games as a tryout with your new team.

I just finished those 4 games and got sent to the AHL for more work on my game. Why do I wanna bitch about this, well lets say I have 4 goals and 2 assists in those 4 games leading the team in points. Who in their right mind would send that player down to the AHL, especially after a 2 goal 1 assist game?

So yea. I mean I lost the game, but by fluke goals, like 4 in the third period alone. I have 4 goals and 2 assists, and I mean I also had 2 points the last game. Only one game so far I have not had a point.

Has anyone not been sent back to the AHL?

It was the same in NHL 09, I had 34 points in 23 games and got sent back to the AHL while leading the team in points. When I got recalled I finished second on the team in goals and I only played in 38 games. I lead the AHL in points for well long after I got recalled and led it in goals the entire season also.

The game needs to be realistic, if you are scoring 1.5 points a game for a tryout, it seems like you would be the hottest player in the NHL, especially as a rookie.

When you first come up for tryouts and your rating is low, its almost next to impossible to stay up. You need to average at least a point a game and (heres the big one) you need an ridiculously good team play rating.

Read it, I had 6 points in 4 games, that is more than a point per game. I was getting A ratings on everything after the games.

The same thing happened in NHL 09, I was leading the team in goals and points and still got sent back to the AHL.

It is impossible to stay up with the team the first year for the entire season. You always get sent back to the Minors no matter how mnay points you would put up in those first four games.

I'm finally learning how to score!!! lol I got 5 in one game on all star or whatever and only 1 was an empty netter. :) I'm also in my 7th or 8th year in the Be a GM mode, with 3 cups for the Sabres. (2 in the last 2 years lol)

I've got 2 cups total. One for the Sabres and one for Atlanta.

I ended up going 57 wins like 10 loses and the rest in OT, and lost in the first round so they fired me.

It sucked, but I won the cup in like my third year as GM and never made his playoff requirements, so I took over for Atlanta, and just won the cup. I'm in my 7th or 8th year now. Close to a legend GM.

And when I took over Atlanta they were third last in the league, made playoffs the first year I had them, second year went terrible, then I went 38-21-13 for second in the east with 99 points.

And every playoff round went to 7 games. But I sorted cheated to get the very last win. I just wanted another cup badly, but I got the rebuild a team in three years to a cup task.

and my thing I do is signed everyone who has B- potential or higher to 3 year 2-way deals and watch them grow tremendously in their ratings, I'm like a farm team for others, but it's gotten me some amazing players that way.

Ha, me too. I get my best players in the after drafting free agent market  I also don't like to give up players I know like Roy or Vanek so I'm stuck with a bunch of awesome rookies who don't play because my old guys haven't retired yet.
