i didnt know you could edit player ratings. do you have to do that BEFORE you start a season?

Umm you can edit the rosters of every team, if you go into edit players, then hit either L1 or I would assume leftt Bumper to switch over to attributes and you can then edit every attribute.

Yea you would need to do that before the season started because when you start a new season it uses the default roster or whatever one you have saved. You can also make any fantasy team by moving players to teams of your choice. So if you want it to be official and EA hasn't released a roster update you can drag and drop players from different teams and drop them to FA.

I actually starting to get the hang of the new things this game offers.

Thats not totally true. You can play all star or superstar with hardcore settings and win. And you don't need superstars to do it.

My roster is

Roy
Kane
Paille
Stafford
Macarthur
Connolly
Grier
Gerbe
Cowan
Mair
Gaustad
D Moore

Rivet
Butler
Pratt
Conboy
Montador
Weber/Gragnani

Miller/Biron

And as long as you play sound, good defense and learn not to turn the puck over, games become easy again.

Another tip: take tons of point shots. Use those powerplays. Players are awesome at tipping pucks in this game.

I'm not used to having to take point shots, because the previous you drive to the net and flip the puck over the goalie with the guy you're controlling since no one else did anything, it is quite the change to have players move into position, get open, fight for pucks, shot from the point and try to tip pucks in.

Don't have the game yet, but I'd assume that what markus says would hold true. Play good D and take point shots especially if you happen to have Vanek on your team :ugeek: Since cheap 1-timers seem to be out of the question completely it's just a matter of switching up your attacks and not being dumb on D. I'll see if this works when I actually have the game though. :ugeek:

no one ever seems to get in front to tip. i turned the view to classic so i could see more of the ice. im going to see how that works, so i dont turn the puck over making a blind pass as much.

It is also fun when you have pass assist set to none, making quick passes is almost impossible.

Well I'm not huge into it right now, when hockey really starts and since I'm done with GTA:IV I'll play it much more and get used to it.

i turned the difficulty down. i sold out. but i turned that one slider up, so its inbetween. so its easier then it was before, but i still have to play solid hockey and shit to succeed.

The playoff atmosphere is amazing, if you hurt one of their players they boo that player everytime he touches the puck.

I need to play it again.

I just beat the Canes in a crazy Game 7!!!!

I was down 3 games to 2 in Carolina and Roy got a hat trick to win the game in OT. Then in Buffalo for game 7 Roy got all 4 goals to win the game with 22 seconds left!! I benched Connolly, and put Roy on the top line and he came through both games!!!

i played an awesome game against the baby pens, and they took a 2-1 lead late in the third. i scored with 43 seconds to go to tie it, and then a long slapshot found the net with 13 seconds to go. i always seem to come back. my only gripe is i had 10 penalties to their 0.
