I mean did I ever think about the word "god" in the dang thing or did I just mumble through it each morning at good old Lew Port? point is my troop never went through and emphasized it much. We talked about what each part meant but outside of learning it I never heard a peep about religion again, and it was held in the basement of the 1st Pres in Lewiston. I guess I don't take, and never took the religion side of the oath as very serious. Now as an adult though with a greater perspective and deeper well established beliefs it's a bit harder to fake it. I will have to think hard on it.

Well, like I said, it depends on the troop.

So just look into the makeup of the troops around you and pick the one that fits the best.

I was. :p

They didn't teach punctuation though. The farmers didn't need it. I picked it up on my own.

If we're going to throw down over N-W vs. Lew-Port I have to jump in for the Falcons. Of course, during my time it was not really a thrown down...more like a beat down. I was never on a team - through little league football, HS football and HS baseball, that lost to Lew-Port. In fact, my career stats were padded quite well playing against Lew-Port. At least you guys had Daryl Johnston (Cowboys FB that blocked for Emmitt Smith for those who don't know).

No, but nobody watched it either...so if a tree falls...lol.

I'm trying to remember the guy's name that was a real good soccer player at Lew-Port while I was at N-W. Last name started with an L (Liecester or something like that)...I guess he didn't make it too far after HS but he sure dominated then.

I'll take academic strength over successful jocks any day. I played volleyball and ran track but I don't know a dang thing about the rest. As for arts and the academics though Lew Port was one hell of a school looking back on it.

The boy scouts hooked up with GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network) to combat bullying this year so their views may be evolving.

NW soccer had one claim to fame, and that was never finishing games with Wilson because there was always a brawl.

Lew Port is a pretty good school system overall. I just have to hate on it because you guys were the rich fucks from below the hill. Even when you weren't. :)

Haha yup. Living high on the hog. My mom was a janitor at Lew Port and my dad was a steel worker up in the falls. Like Bill Gates but......not.

This is probably just me being thick skulled, but does this, "Report being extremely close with neighbors: Eagle Scouts are 97 percent more likely than Scouts. Eagle Scouts are not significantly different from non-Scouts.", mean:

Eagle scouts and people never involved in scouting are 97% more likely than people who were only in the cub scouts?

If so, it makes no sense.

i think that's what it is saying, and i have no clue how it makes sense. the only thing i can think of, if that some of the data is skewed, because of people who join Scouting for like, a year tops, then quit.

i have no clue tho, and it doesnt make sense
