In various parts of that video, the gov't dutifully protected people from...

-possibly tainted lemonade from little girls with unwashed hands
-lobster tails packed in plastic instead of breathable cardboard boxes
-dry land that couldn't be drilled for a well and was better off flooded
-stinky raw animal milk

Also, I think Stossel should've been arrested for assault when he smacked the illegally sold lemonade from his customer's hand. I also think really hot prostitutes should be legal.

You're a great little droid.

The dry land that couldn't be drilled WAS FUCKING WET BECAUSE OF A CLOGGED DITCH THE GOVERNMENT REFUSED TO UNCLOG.

If your post was made in jest, I apologize. If you were 100% serious, I've lost a lot of respect for you.

Yes I was joking, except for the hot prostitutes.

In fact, I would have been one of the officers that paid for lemonade the day before other officers shut the girls' stand down. I also would've been like the officer that acknowledged being recorded and said he hoped to look good on youtube, but I would've hoped for Holleywood to take notice of me for a brand new cop series with me as the star. The best scenes would be of me arguing on a Sabres fan board on my dash mounted computer while a robbery took place in the background, a la Reno 911.

lmao, ok. My impression of you remains favorable. ;)

Also, there's a thread on Reddit about how cops act in various situations, in case you're interested.

At the 25:00 min mark they have a bit where cops arrest a woman for filming. Something happened to my brother like that.

My parents live out in the country and he was staying with them. He works during the day so he went over to his friend's house down the road and was walking home around 11pm or so. A cop who was cruising by stopped him and and asked what was going on. My brother told him he was walking home from his friends house and heading to my folk's place. The cop got out of the car and was asking my brother why he was walking around so late and the like. My brother had his phone in his hand and started to video tape the officer. It may help to understand that my brother has a 4 grade writing and reading level at age 27 so he was trying to get the cop's badge number on tape and he told him so. He said he couldn't read or write very well and wanted the officer to tell him his badge id number. The cop then hit the phone out of his hand, slammed him around into the cruiser, put hand cuffs on him and started searching him. he found a bubble wand for kids that my brother's friend had given him for my niece. He accused my brother of using it to smoke weed with then threw it to the ground and stomped on it. They charged my brother with disorderly conduct and a bunch of other things. It was thrown out thankfully and turned out that the cop had had a fight with his wife that everyone knew about and he was just "blowing off steam". But they allowed it to get all the way to trial. Ridiculous.
