It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

I wonder what happened, the hit didnt look injury-worthy, must have caught him in a weird spot.

Flush in the front of the head isn't too weird for a concussion.

Maybe his neck? Rob Ray was saying his eyes had the look of a concussion though.

And I distinctly noticed Ruutu's head remained attached to his body for the duration of the game...including OT.
I would have welcomed a penalty for an ounce of payback.

They should have run the shit out of those guys, took penalties, and surrendered a power play goal and got no points at all!

That would have been the ideal situation, right?

That would have been a hell of a lot more satisfying than the 1 point we got after being blanked in a shootout...so IMO, yeah.

EDIT: that brings something else to mind....what the hell is wrong with out shootout lately?

At some point, you need to decide that you aren't going to put up with being pushed around by a team and do something about it, even if you have to give up a point to do it.

I'd have been totally ok with them just brawling it up to change the tone of this series.

They should all be buying Miller steak dinners for the rest of the season for giving them that chance last night.
If the goalie were human that contest would have been over after 20 minutes.

This hit wasn't dirty, guys. I'm not happy we didn't rip Ottawa's heads off, but that hit wasn't that bad. He was just vulnerable.

Hey. A shoulder-pad to the head is still a shoulder-pad to the head...right?

Head-shots just need to go away, altogether. From the entire NHL.

In all fairness I didn't see a whole lot of people complaining about the Campbell hit on Umberger, which was a shoulder pad to the head.

Shoulder to the head I dont have a problem with if you keep your feet and don't leap into the hit; it's the head into boards, or elbow into head that are the real problems here.

Also, what ever happened to charging? They stopped calling that, and now players run at one another freely

To me, it looks like Soupy hits Umberger in the upper chest and the ensuing contact smashes Umberger's head into the shoulder pad. That's just me.
