He also said that Stafford is going to be tested today and if he passes then he'll play on Monday.

He was really picking it up too....not just with the points, but he was hustling and getting great chances too. He also got an assist in the first period of game 2, giving him 2 points in 2 games. He probally would have scored too because he was buzzing out there. Get well soon Thomas, PLEASE! Our playoff lives depend on it.

Vanek did put weight on it a few times when he got up. I would suspect that him hobbling off the ice was to keep weight off it. I replayed the hit and didn't see anything unusual, though it's difficult to tell how/where Girlchuk lands on him. My guess would be either a bruise, or a pulled muscle, which I've had happen with someone landing on my leg before. My guess is we might see him out for game three, and in for game four.

Even if Vanek was out for the next 3 weeks, playoffs mean ruff and co. would pronounce him as 'day to day' to make sure the bruins don't get any added confidence. I'd take ruffs comments with a grain of salt for sure
