I avoided Noronen because he never meant a damn thing to the Sabres post-lockout, even if he had four starts.

It's Biron. I'm not talking since we lost Biron, I'm talking since the start of the 05/06 season.

Listen, see those stats for Biron? They don't tell the whole story, but he just wasn't as good as people mythologize him to be. Hell, in 06/07, his SV% was actually sub-.900. People need to accept that the reason Biron would win games is because the Sabres skaters could outscore any team in the league and cover up any mistakes in their own end.

I agree with you. Biron wasn't the mystical backup some people think he was but he was a lot better than the crap we have signed since. Even taking the atomic offense we had back then, he still is better than Conk, Telly, T-Bo and Lalime. The last four guys have been so bad it's sad.

i saw a big difference. granted the numbers are similar, but the sabres played sabres hockey when biron was in net because they could trust him. the sabres play timid, tense hockey that focuses on defense when lalime is in net because they dont trust him.

Wow I really hope Miller doesn't have a concussion.

But it's exciting to see Enroth in net, looks like the team found a goalie they can trust when Miller has the night off.

Now see, THAT is where Biron differed from the other backups and it's the same vein that Enroth inhabits now - the Sabre don't play scared.

It's got to be hard to play confidently in front of a goalie you think needs to be baby sat. Biron was good enough where the guys felt free to speed up and down the ice sniffing for goals where when Lalime plays you see the guys fall back and play like they are defending a lead.

Trust is earned. Lalime made enough mistakes that not trusting him was pretty much a normal reaction.

lemme find it.

the tweet itself:

I confess...I knew that Ryan Miller was out & what for. I couldn't say anything though. It's Enroth time! wait..that doesn't work as well...

a second reread reads more that she knew he was out for last night. but i read it differently.

the tweet however was removed, as she mentions several have been removed. i dont use twitter so i havnt a clue, just following a link from another board.

WGR has him officially day to day, so we shall see.

For fuck's sake Mike. If you're going to throw a turd like this out there, you sure as fuck better have a source that isn't some random knob on Twitter.

Jessie Pegula has tweeted nothing even remotely implying that Miller is done for the season. Her only comments about it last night were that she knew about Miller being injured and not playing, but couldn't say anything about it.

Knock this shit off.

I'm aggravated that you do this all the time. You just repeat everything you read, no matter where you read it, without considering it's potential validity. That's really effing annoying.

I have no idea how you possibly could have interpreted Jessie Pegula's words to mean that Miller was done for the year. That takes a huge leap from what she wrote.
