I'm gonna freak out now, since it seemed like the team went all to pieces after he left. I know it was probably more them sitting on a lead waaaaay to early in a game, but still.

Yeah we really can't have another forward go down. I assume he's gone for the next two games, but maybe with Hecht skating today he can come in so Boyes goes to RW.

Any chance at all for Hecht or Roy to come play in game 6? Or are going to have to roll the dice with Mancari?

The guys got a heck of a shot but other than that he doesn't come close to replacing Poms.

Hecht is a no go. I don't think he's even doing drills with the team yet. Roy, well that's a possibility, I guess. Today is the 4 month mark, so they may clear him for contact in practice. Guess we'll find out whether he's ready to go by tomorrow.

Just realized that Pommers is our 2nd-leading scorer in the playoffs (4 pts in 5 games). Amazing how he just quietly racks up points.

Get well soon, Pommers! We're gonna need you

So is Poms done for the playoffs?

Cut seemed pretty bad... Not a doctor but I don't think that shit heals that quickly...

just be patient, even if he's able to play the Sabres aren't going to go running to the media to give away their roster plans. In fact, the worse they make it seem the better, but at some point we will have an accurate assessment of how much damage he took.

If his tendon was even slightly cut I doubt he would have been able to take even one stride after the injury, and he took about 3 before the pain registered. Probably a nasty gash in a difficult spot to play through but I'll wait for the official announcement.

Ruff said Roy and Hecht are days away (per espn article) thoughts?

EDIT sorry, this whole sentence is redundant. (been written in every other injury thread)

Let's assume Pominville (obviously), Hecht and Roy are all unavailable. What are your lines? I'll go with...

Vanek-Connolly-Boyes
Ennis-Niedermayer-Stafford
Gerbe-Gaustad-Kaleta
Ellis-McCormick-Grier

Swap Ellis and McCormick, and that's what I've got too.

So just a quick question does he mean days away from particpating in full drills or days away from being in a game

Days away is game normally.

That top line is too soft, that's why Ruff broke up the poms version of it for the last game. Swap Kaleta and Boyes

What is Pominville's status for game seven assuming he was out just to rest and stitches were necessary at the minimum?

Pommers was at some show on RDS last night, his foot still in some kind of boot. He said that he was probably going to be ready sooner than expected. After his surgery(i don't remember when it was) the doctor told him it would take 3 months to be ready instead of 4-6.

I don't have any link, just something I heard HIM say. Trust me or not. :)
