This afternoon we had our version of the "Winter Classic". It was a huge success. VSV beat KAC with a final score of 3 -1 in front of a crowd of 30.500 (!!!) in the soccer stadium in Klagenfurt. "Normal" hockey games in Austria very rarely draw more than 5.000. |

Did you attend it or watch it on tv? I wish I would have known about it. Maybe I could have streamed it. Nothing beats tens of thousands of hockey fans in one place. And pics! yes! Do you have any? |

Yeah, it looks awful and the number of ads on the uniforms are ridiculous, but otherwise professional hockey wouldn't be possible in Austria...I really hate ads on national team jerseys, that's why I don't own one. These shoulder ads are just baehh...and don't get me started about the Skoda ad

its a college hockey game, PK. college hockey is huge here. currently, the original cold war hold the record for most people at a hockey game.. michigan state university vs university of michigan. i think itll be on national tv, at least our regional tv. |
