How many of you watched alot of Olympic Hockey and remember Norway's Mats Zuccarello Aasen. The guy's only 5'7" but played with an edge and I thought was fanastic. I know alot of people would say no the guy's too small and we don't need another small forward on this team but he might be a guy to look at. Plus he's a free agent .

I'd give him a chance start in the AHL, get that shot speed up and a bit accustomed to the pro's, i'm sure Burke will consider signing him.

I know if I was a GM I would take a shot at him and give him a chance. He looked great in the Olympics against some talented players.

I loved this guy, and I love this idea! Get Darcy on the phone.

Any chance Zuc could be here to play in the Flyers game tomorrow? Start him and Raffi and sit some of our high cost, high maintenance invisible million dollar men.

The results might be very interesting.

I'll say the same thing I said about "The Monster" when he came over...

If he was really worth a damn, wouldn't he already be playing NHL hockey?

No lie i thought i was the only one intrigued by him. Euro hockey is a hell of a lot different though. I actually used Norway in NHL 10 during the Olympics just because of him.

I would take a chance on him. He's not costing your team any picks or players just like the Monster and Gilroy last year. Worst case scenario is he doesn't pan out and you trade the guy or cut him.

I'd rather take a chance on the man, the myth, the Norge hockey hero, TORE VIKINGSTAD.

Their's alot of good hockey players that aren't in the NHL. Some want to stay in their home country or Europe. You have to give Euro's alittle extra time to adjust to the smaller ice surface. The guy hasn't even played one season yet. Give the guy some time. I'm not a Monster fan but most aren't going to come over and be a Teemu Selane right off the bat.

The reason Finns ALWAYS come to the NHL more ready to play than other Euros is because SM-liiga plays on NHL-sized ice.

He's 22 years old, and was never drafted; if he were really NHL material don't you think some pro scout would have at least discovered him on accident? He plays on the same team as Forsberg, Hedman last year, and a Marcus Naslund, you dont think some NHL scouts even take a look at these teams?

Come on, he may have had a decent olympics, but so did Demitri Kalinin

even if he doesn't start here he'd be good depth in portland especially with ennis out and the sabres considering calling up prospects. and i guess one could say some prospects take time to mature, not everyone is lebron james who can jump into the pros from high school

What was the percentage of U.S. fans there?
Were the fans as a whole better, worse or the same as other 2010 olympic hockey tournaments you've been to?

oh, are we not doing that?

this is untrue. look at rafalski. he didnt make the NHL till he was 26, and established himself for several years in finland and sweden.

the monster is a good goalie. not sure if hell ever be a superstar, but hes going to be pretty damn good. some players just fly under the radar.
