Jagr scores his second to pull CZE within one; it's 3-2 in the third.

The prelimenary round is over, and now the US is headed to the relegation round (WHAT THE FUCK?!?).

Right now in the first period of both games, Denmark is pounding Slovakia 3-0 and Canada is down a goal to Norway, 1-0.

Period 1 has ended, and Denmark is curb-stomping Slovakia 6-0 while Canada has tied it up with Norway at 1 (Evander Kane with the goal).

If the US had Miller it would be different

How about, if the US had more than just one returning Olympian? Jesus.

Ya know how it was 1-1 after the first between Canada and Norge? Yea, well, Canada said FTS and is now leading 10-1! with 15 minutes left.

Also with 15 minutes left (and Sekera in the box), Slovakia is still getting white-washed 6-0 by Denmark.

12-1 now. Tavares has a hat-trick now. 10 minutes left.

Team USA has won the first two of their three relegation round games by scores of 10-0 and 4-0. They just need to beat Italy and they're in next year's pro division.

USA avoids relegation with a TJ Oshie goal in the seventh round of the shootout over Italy, 3-2.

Canada will probably get eliminated by the Russians as they play them next

The Russians have now won 25 straight games, beating the old CCCP's record of 24.

Also, dude, you are ALWAYS so down on your national team. What gives?

No big deal. Canada won the tournament that mattered. The World Championships is an insignificant event, so I say let the Russians have this as their consolation prize.

Well, I want the Canadians to win because, regardless of the fact that I think he's a dirty prick, Corey Perry only needs this gold medal to be the second player in history to win all five major events (after Scott Niedermayer).

Oh don't get me wrong, I'd love it if my countrymen could pull off the victory, but if it doesn't happen I won't be too bothered. I was ecstatic when we won the Olympics, but I just don't put all that much stock into the Worlds due to the fact that it isn't a best-on-best tournament.

I watched some of Germany's games and Felix Schütz looks very promising. 3 points (2G +1A) in 6 games and he was one of the better German players when I watched.
Unfortunately Gogulla didn't look that good. A lot of turnovers and doesn't seem to be overly talented.

I don't really like him.

I LOVE FELIX.

That is unfortunate, as I liked Gogulla going into this season. His play has seemed to drop. I'm not sold yet on Schutz yet, either, as he was benched down the stretch in the AHL even with injuries in the line-up. Doesn't say anything good about him.

What do I know :D , Gogulla scored the game winner and only goal in the quarter final for Germany.

I usually am up on my national team but lately for some reason I not, plus I could care less about this tournament

Well, for the Olympics, you were convinced they wouldn't even medal.
