All I want to happen is the US mens and women's teams to medal...and the Canadian men to NOT get gold.
(I like watching entire countries freak out)

Nope, it was all speculation until this morning.
And they only named Quick the starter for the first game...not the whole tournament.

My guess is they'll split Quick and Miller early on then settle on whoever is better

Oh, and Zemgus and Nolan just lost in a heartbreaker to Switzerland with 7 seconds in regulation.

Ugh! That really sucked. It's going to be tough for Latvia to sneak into the elimination round now.

USA Slovakia
7-1

Canada Norway
3-1

That's enough to make Canadians talk nervously so I'll take it.

The goal Quick gave up, he could have stopped it. Quick made me nervous in today's game.

I hope they put Miller in on Saturday.

I was disappointed , too ...
switched on the TV :
no Millertime :?

Canada will destroy us Austrians today. the first period wasn't good against Norway, but the rest of the game was okay (for Canada :) )

Canada is playing Austria today. When I look at Canda's forwards and our D, this might get really ugly. Double digits.

I don't get how you don't play Miller in a game. But it's probably my bias towards him. Probably will get the start for Slovenia.

Lets just hope Blysma knows what he is doing, he hasn't been very successful these past few years when it matters.

Lols, Bye bye Russia.

And we get the Canadians, who struggled mightily in this tourney.

If you think Canada “struggled mightily” today, then you need to watch the Latvia game again (or for the first time). Don’t take my word for it. Check your beloved Corsi numbers. The reasons it was only 2-1 was because Latvia’s goalie was insanely good, and they are a very cohesive, highly motivated, tough, well-coached team. I watched all 5 of their games, and they showed up for every one of them in a big way. Zemgus was a key player for them, and he played very well all tourney.

I’m not making any predictions, but Canada is making very few mistakes, and they continue to work hard and keep things simple. They are the last team the US wants to face right now (and probably vice versa, lol).

Isn’t the way the semis turned out a beautiful thing? Sweden and Finland have an intense rivalry, as do the US and Canada. Oh yeah, and Russia is out. That part is beautiful, too!
