In his last two games (Petes vs Generals, and then Petes vs IceDogs), Kassian racked up 4 more assists. He's now at 17 pts in 17 games, with a -4 and 41 PIMs.

Tonight versus the Sting, Kassian had an assist on the tying goal that sparked the Petes going up 2-1 after starting the game 1-0. (The game is still being played)

At 15:21 of the second period, Kassian did...something, what I don't know...to get a 10 min. misconduct.

Kassian is back in the third, and assisted on another goal. He's now over PPG.

Phil; how are The Petes doing this year? Did I hear not all that great somewhere?

They're only 14-13, but it's good enough to lead the division.

The Spitfires play against Kassian and his Petes tonight at 7:05 EST. This could be a nightmare.

Ok; so they aren't horrible. I was wondering if he might be a candidate to be dealt to a contender later in the season if the Petes were SOL on the season. I mean then we'd have a chance to maybe watch him in The Memorial Cup.

Is he a candidate for Canada at The World Juniors?

I think he might be. Lemme see what the prelim roster looks like...*goes digging* Actually, both Kassian and Luke Adam are WJC candidates :)

Well I guess we are doing something good if we have prospects in the WJC prelims rosters and such.

Both Ennis and Myers played last year for Canada.

Canada has so many players to choose a team from its kinda stupid. Here's my team at this point in the season.
Cormier - Colborne - Kozun
Eberle - Schenn - Glennie
Henrique - Hall - Nemisz
McMillan - Adam - Kassian
Kadri/Hodgson

Teubert - Cowen
Cuma - Ellis
Olsen - Hamonic
Lalonde

Jake Allen
Matt Hackett

Nothing for Kassian tonight, but the Petes won anyways, 5-3.

I can't wait to see this kid in our sweater. This guy is going to eat so many guys for lunch, and crap them out at supper before the game.

What he brings to the game might not always be on the score sheet, but what he leaves behind can be found on the emerge table at your local hospital!

Nemisz is really not that great, he's good but there are other players like Tyler Seguin that should make the team over him/

I took Nemisz cause he plays with those two and chemistry is always a plus with a short tourney like this. I dont think Seguin will make the team. Canada typically chooses 19 and 18 yo's.

Very true but last year they took some pretty good 18 year olds like Myers and Evander Kane.

Kane was 17 last year which is why he was wearing a cage. Kane and Ellis were the two 17 year old's who made it the rest were 18 and 19.

It's kind of too bad all these teens are still with their NHL clubs, because I was hoping to see a devastatingly-stacked Canada rock everyone's world.
