I wouldn't expect Adam to make the big club out of camp.

But, with Myers making the jump this year, I could see Adam say beating out Kennedy for a center spot next year.

I can almost guarantee Adam spends at least a year in Portland before getting a shot here. VERY few players go straight from the QMJHL to the NHL. There is a bigger learning curve with that league because of the style of hockey played there than in the OHL and WHL.

Luke put up 1+3 last night in an 8-3 bushwhacking of the Prince Edward Island Rocket. That gives him 87 points in 55 games this season, which is good for third in the league.

Luke needs three more goals to reach 50, and has three games to do it in.

Pretty positive Adam will be with Portland all of next year, or at least most of the year. I could see him getting a couple games with us if he does well for a couple months with the Pirates.

I agree I think Adam will be in Portland next season along with Crawford and possibly Kassian.

Kassian cant play in Portland next year. Its NHL or bust for him.

Yes he can. He'll be 20 before the NHL season and AHL season starts. The deadline is December 31st you have to be 20 by and he turns 20 June 18th.

June 18th 1990 was when he was born. So he is Portland Bound next year for sure.

Oh, I thought you were talking about Adam, not Kassian. Kassian just missed the cut-off by 25 days. But he'll play for Portland at the end of the year if his club doesn't make the playoffs.

Adam had a goal and an assist tonight. Legault had two goals, and Lagace had an assist. Cape Breton wins in a shootout.

Yeah he could play for Portland at the end of the season. But I waited all season last year for Medicine Hat to get knocked out only to have Darcy not sign Ennis until after the season.

Which is a good thing. He was a young draft pick. Since he missed 20 games this season due to suspension and missed a bunch of other time with injuries, he could use another season. Also, unless something bad happens (injury or another suspension) he will make Canada WJC squad... which will be pretty cool to see Kassian play at HSBC Arena.

It's pretty credible information as far as I'm concerned...If he doesn't show up then I'll be very VERY surprised.
