20 is way too much. This was a borderline dirty hit, more because Kennedy was prone than anything else. I'd have given him 5 games.

Yup.

Add in that this isn't Kassian's first suspension (I think it's like #3) and I wouldn't have been surprised if Kassian would have been suspended for the remainder of the season.

The CHL in general is trying really hard to crack down on hits to the head, so 20 games isn't surprising to me.

I watch the OHL a lot and Kassian, who is a repeat offender, really should have gotten the rest of the season. David Branch is the most inconsistent comissoner's (yes he is worse than Bettman ) in all of hockey, he gave Liambas the entire year for a hit. I know they are different hits but both Fanelli and Kennedy are sitting out for probably the rest of the year.

One fan pointed out on tsn that the only reason Kassian did not get the entire year is because Windsor is one of those teams who can do no wrong this year and I partially agree. Anyways I don't think Kassian should have gotten 20 games, 5-10 would have been good enough for me.

I think he was talking about what the OHL commish should have handed down to be consistent, versus what his own preference would have been.
