No one mentions him anymore. He's pretty big, and with Portland this year he has 5 goals and 20 assists in only 40 games.

What are your thoughts about his future with the Sabres? I think he could be pretty important for us.

He's always been one of my favorites, but defensively he still has quite a bit of work to do. Offensively he is better than almost any D-man on the Sabres, but I doubt he would fit into Lindy's system unless he greatly improves in his own end.

I want him to do well but he's got that OFD written all over him.

If he can improve on his Defense then he could be a very dangerous player with us.

Once he gets a bit better on D, he could be a 4th or 5th D man. He's got to lose the stache, though.

he scored like 5 game winning goals and led the pirates in playoff scoring in NHL10 for me. so, because of that, hes ace to me. haha

At his current rate of development he's going to be fantastic by the time he's 35 or so......

As an Offensive D man, he is more than ready to come up to the big club.

Anyone have any current season information on his Defensive play? Has he come along enough?

I'm pretty sure Weber would also be able to contribute to the "allowing 40 shots per game" system Lindy seems to be employing these days.
