That win is the Pirates' fifth straight win at home this season. Their lone loss came on the road.

Tropp needed 12 stitches to close his face after that fight with Jordan Nolan, Ted Nolan's kid.

OK last spampost of the night - Adam and Mancari are tied at 2nd in scoring in the AHL at 10pts (in 6gp, giving them just under 2ppg)

Pirates' jerseys look sharp with the "new" logo

After getting splattered pretty hard last game to the tune of 5-2, the Pirates are up 2-0 on the Tigers from goals by Brennan and Ellis. Byron has two assists on the night.

Leggio is now 2-0-0 in the AHL and has allowed 2 goal average in both games.

Looks like his past AHL stats are nothing to worry about

Whoa, I though the picture was in black and white lol. On our way to get a 3rd AHL Rookie of the Year in a row!
Anyway, what's the Pirates' first line: Adam-Mancari-Ellis/Parrish?

Nice to see they are doing so well even though guys like Ennis, Gerbe, Weber, Myers, Butler aren't with them. If only the Sabres could be as good at home.

Pirates vs Norfolk tonight. 5-5 and in the shootout.

Luke Adam is turning into Mr Clutch...he assists on opening goal, assists on (at the time) game-winning goal, then scores the game-tying goal late in the 3rd to send it to OT. 13 points in 9 games, which is good for second in the AHL (tied with Mancari). He also has 6 goals, tied for second. He also leads the AHL in rookie scoring and is the only rookie in the top 40.

Edit: Derek Whitmore scores the shootout winner to give the Pirates the win and keep Leggio undefeated

Edit: Pirates are 7-2-0 to start the season. That leads the Atlantic Division and has them tied for league lead. 6-0-0 at home and 1-2-0 on the road.

Adam is a beast, I honestly don't see him staying with Portland the entire year.

It's the third period between Norfolk and Portland and the Admirals are beating the Pirates 4-2.
