As I'm sure you all know, the Sabres (prospects) are taking part in the Detroit Redwings annual prospects tournament. The Sabres had their first game today against the Minnesota Wild, and won 6-3 after falling down 0-2 in the first period. Luke Adam was the captain of the squad, while Marcus Foligno had the only assistant role. Luke Adam was a +3 on the night with a single goal (no players had more than 1 point), while Zack Kassian fulfilled his role and had a fighting major. For the complete stats, look no further than this link. Lets Go Buffalo! |

Kassian also had an assist. An assist and a fight is his job well done. |

His assist was a beauty. Fought off two Wild players behind the goal line to feed Adam out in front. SabresTV has highlights of the goals and fights with some player interviews tossed in. |

He's EXACTLY the type of player when need playing RW on the third line Sent from my Droid Incredible 2 using Tapatalk |

I do see Adam, Kassian, and Foligno called up when injuries start happening. |

On the videos I saw Kassian appeared rather slow, so I think he would have problems with the NHL speed, just like Adam. He should play a strong AHL season with occassional call ups. |
