The Portland Pirates were skating at Portland Ice Arena this morning where they held practice as they prepare for a pair of games this weekend against Lowell and Bridgeport.

Portland is looking to make a jump in the standings – currently last place in the Atlantic Division (3-7-0) with six points – and returning to the Civic Center couldn’t have come at a better time. After playing eight of their first 10 games of the season on the road, Portland is more than ready to enjoy some home cooking.
