This is one of my favorite bands of the past decade. They are a supergroup of sorts (if you're a music nerd) that features frontman AC Newman, alt-country idol Neko Case, and Daniel Bejar of Destroyer.

Going to see them tonight and I'm starting to get really pumped! It seems as though the whole band, including Bejar, is on this tour. I just found a nice youtube video from a performance on Letterman two weeks ago. Humor me if I fuck it up:

I've gotten to see Neko a few times, ALWAYS an amazing performance, exuding sexmagic out through the mic. I would put SO MANY babies in her.

I didn't really link any of the stuff that features Neko heavily, and there are some really good ones. I was just so giddy about learning a simple internet skill and excited to see the show that I just put some of the first videos I saw.

This is a band where AC Newman does most of the lead vocals, but resposibility in that arena shifts between him, Case, and Bejar, who was the singer of the second song in this thread. The combination of the three somehow acheives something distinct from its parts, and I like the result even better than the individual contributers' "solo" or "main" projects. Like, I reaaly like Neko Case albums, and I really really like many Destroyer albums, but I still end up enjoying the New Pornographers more most of the time.
