Well we need this thread, it's the basic origins to all music today. So post up your favorite songs from any type of Blues be it Mississippi Delta, Chicago Slow Blues, or Rocking hard Texas Blues.

I'll start with some of my favorite songs in the Blues Genre.
Hideaway and Rude Mood. Hideaway is a Blues classic by Freddie King, and all Blues players should know how to play this. SRV's version of course. :D

Little Wing by SRV

Testify SRV

And to me it always needs to be followed by this version of So Excited

Actually, everyone needs to just rent SRV's 1983 Live at the El Mocambo concert, or find the Texas Flood version on Youtube as it is pure amazing.

John Mayer's So Excited Cover

I definitely am not just into SRV with the Blues. So many songs to list from so many great artists.
Crossroads by the man himself Robert Johnson
Willie Dixon's Shake for Me, SRV did one amazing cover of this song.
All Your Love I Miss Lovin- Otis Rush
Someday Baby- Fred McDowell

Got to love Slide Guitar Blues

This can't be a Blues thread without Robert Johnson.

Some Tampa Red and Georgia Tom:

Muddy Waters:

You can't forget John Lee Hooker:

(with Santana) -I love this song

I LOVE the Blues.
