So Gaustad had the "C" against the Leafs tonight. Where does that leave Craig, because I saw him wearing "C" when we played the Caps. Are we going to do duel captaincy again, or go back to the monthly rotation?

In any case, it's still good to see the Goose wearing it and finally get the true recognition for the leader he is.

He wore the C for that game only, I'm assuming, since Roy wore it for the very first game against the Caps (4-3 OTL)

I was also happy to see the Goose with that C. It's still Rivet's though, no doubt.

I was disgusted to see an A on Hecht's sweater though.

Well hopefully they will make it something along the lines of

C: Goose
A: Rivet/ Vanek
A: Grier/ Roy

Depends on how everything goes down with Lindy

Gaustad wore the C because Rivet wasn't dressed.

Rivet will be the captain this year.

I second this. I don't think he does anything to deserve a letter. I like that Goose had it, he seems to be a big morale booster and calls people out when they need it or gets the players going that need a little boost.

I like seeing Rivet with it also and would agree to having either have it.

I wouldn't mind a dual captaincy.

Goose: C/A
Rivet: C/A
Grier: A

NO MORE DUAL CAPTAINCY! NO!

No more of that Socialist, Nancy-boy shit. Pick a captain, and stand by him. That's that.

I was about to say wasn't it because Rivet wasn't dressed for that game.

Were you not a fan of the Co-Captaincy of Briere and Drury?

I'm more concerned with Hecht's "A". Either Gaustad or Rivet would be fine with me, as long as it's not dual, but seeing Hecht wearing a letter is bad for my blood pressure.

Did that system win us the Cup? With all the talent we had?

'Nuff sed.

Shared responsibility means no accountability. If something is too many people's job - It ends up not getting done, because it's no one's job.

In my psychology class, we reviewed a study about emergency situations.

The more people there are that witness an accident, the LESS LIKELY 911 will be called.

When you distribute responsibility, the parties involved become less responsible.

To go along with the dual captaincy topic, the switching captains every month was also a bad idea.

See, even relatively new fans to the sport get it - dual captaincy and rotating captaincy are fail.

I don't think Goose and Grier will both get letters, since they share a line.

If I had my way...

Rivet - C
Gaustad - A
Connolly - A

yea it will be rivet as captain. Ruff was probably seeing how gaustad handled the role, maybe seeing if gaustad can live up to being an assistant this year.

I'd say
C - Rivet
A - Gaustad
hope these two are permanent

A - Roy, Connolly, maybe Vanek if he can step up to that superstar level, Pominville, Grier maybe near january (remember he is still the new guy even though he did return to play again in buffalo).
