Yeah, I think the management likes what they're getting from the kids, and they can't put it to themselves to cut off the dead weight we'll have later down the road.

Butler going down would be like flushing your brand new mercedes down the danube. It would be a waste of money, and the dumbest thing ever.

Meyers is NHL ready, and to push him back would be a hindrance to his development.

If I were in this situation, i'd have them all play like they were losing their job. Sit a few players each game in the press box, and tell the others that if they don't want to end up there they need to give it 100% every game.

Ellis deserves to play each game with his work ethic.

Patches is valuable due to his ability to play F/D, but can also be p-boxed too, because his camp was shit IMHO.

I don't think Gerbe played stellar in camp, but I'm really not sure what to expect from someone still his age and his size.

Injuries early in the season could change the landscape of who stays and who doesn't. I will be shocked if everyone's conditioning is good, and we don't see a groin injury or some kind of injury in the first three weeks.
