haha, damn, even with the elephant sized grain of salt I took that with...I got shivers at the end thinking about the sabres, ending game 7 of the SCF as winners. Cmon boys...make it happen!

I predict the Easter bunny is going to defeat Obama in the next election.

Can we pay attention to Boston before mulling over this nonsense?

Indeed. I'm not particularly afraid of Boston, but too many folks are putting them in round 2 already without one second of hockey being played.

Thank you!

Do you people have no respect for the sports gods? I'll bet some of you folks start talking about Miller getting a shutout half-way through the third period, too.

Am I the only person here worried about the Boston Bruins? This team has the best goalie in the league from last year as their BACKUP! The Bruins have allowed fewer goals this season than any of the sixteen playoff teams, except NJ. They have only lost six fewer games than we did and have a better road record than we do. They are also coming into the playoffs full of confidence, finishing the regular season strong by beating the President's Trophy team, as well as our very own Sabres just a week ago. They only need to beat us four times, SOMETHING THEY HAVE ALREADY DONE THIS YEAR!

And yet, we now have TWO threads talking about the Sabres winning the Stanley Cup before we have even played a single playoff game!

Isn't that what sports fans do?

And Boston was 21-20 on the road.
Buffalo was 20-21.

This is the playoffs, OTL and SOL don't count for diddly.

I dont think your the only one but I dont know why people are so scared of this boston team?? The 4 games Miller played against them this year he's allowed 7 goals, besides the fact the Sabres have really got there offense going the past couple of weeks. Stop worry so much and take it all in and enjoy, its been a long time coming!

I'm nervous about it for sure, but hell, it's the playoffs, we haven't been here in 3 years and I want to enjoy it. No sense in worrying about something you have no control over anyways.

Like I said in a different thread. I have 100% certainty that the outcome will be the outcome, regardless of what I do, say, think, or predict.

I wanna see the taxi cab signs for games 3 and 4 in HSBC.

It would also not be the Battle of Hasek.

It would be the story of Kane and Able, just in reverse.

Or it would be a KKK rally ....Kane, Kennedy and Kaleta. (Lord, I apologize...)

Edit...we could call it the KKKC rally and put Connolly in there.

3 guys from Buffalo playing in a Stanley Cup final...that should do a lot for the ratings.

Mirtle has Sabres making the finals. He's a smart hockey guy. I like him. I trust his instincts.

I don't like predictions and I don't like stats when it comes to the playoffs. It's a new season, and anything can happen. All I know is that it's a nice feeling to have the Sabres back in the playoffs and I'm going to try and enjoy every second of it.

Well, Lile's not off to a very good start......

He also predicted the Penz and the Devils to win their series in 5 each.

For him to be right, BOTH the Devils and Penz would need to win the next FOUR in-a-row, cuase they both lost game 1 tonight along with home ice advantage!

What do you think now?

How about we lock, delete, destroy, and blow up this thread and the other one about us winning the Stanley Cup, just to get the stink of bad mojo off the message board?
