whatever, Marty signed a one year deal on the Island and Lalime's contract runs out after this season. Maybe we'll make a trade straight up for Biron or just wait for the offseason.

marty does still live in buffalo during the offseason. my uncle actually saw him at the Erie County Fair a couple years ago.

having him back would we sweet. he would then be the only sabre to wear every single sabres jersey.

Let's be honest. He was not getting any offers. For a reason. He really isn't that great.
Well, as SK2624 said and so did I, Marty is better than Lalime.
Marty isn't looking to be a starter. Those days are behind him and he knows it. The guy married a Buffalo gal, he still lives here, and clearly stated it isn't about the money. So, yes, I would have taken him back in a heartbeat. If you (JD) think Lalime is a better back up than Marty, you would have many that don't agree with you. Lalime is fucking worthless.

The original quote of this thread shows that he wanted to be somewhere he could play more. He considered Buffalo but ultimately chose a place that he would get more starts. So yeah, it wasn't about the money, it was about playing time. Darcy didn't choose Lalime over Marty, Marty chose starting minutes over back-up minutes.

But don't let that get in the way of another over-zealous Darcy bash fest.

Bring Marty Back!

Marty is an awesome personality and a reasonably good backup goaltander who can carry the load when needed if miller gets injured again by Gomez.
