I personally believe both sides the argument are justified.

You guys gotta think their were basically 2 kinds of Max fans.

-Fan #1: "The Awinagainovs Fan."- These fans would stick behind Max to the very end, calling his bad play a product of the lower lines he was on.
-Fan #2: "The omg wtf was the fricking give away godamnit its a 3 on 1 coming back..... shit were down by two now and Max is a -2 Fan." - These fans thought everything Max did was bad.
These are the cliche Max fans, ovbviosly their are exceptions to the mold, but thats basically why we have these two sided argument (BOO or yell at the BOOers.)

i was never a huge fan of max, or his play. but i can recognize when someone puts forth a lot of effort for a long period of time, who didnt dick over the fans or franchise.

yes, its common knowledge he tried to play poorly and dick the fanbase over. come on man. max has never had a bad attitude, and never was lazy. i heard max and kotalik had a rift between them because max got on him for his lazy play.

Actually last year he went a -9 last year, and the year before he went -16.

in reality you take out his one really good year when everybody on this team was aplus, he is now down to -49 in his career.

He was +19 once, when he played with a 43 goal scorer. Other than that year, he has never been higher than a +6 throughout 82 games EVER.

Max is a defensive liability. His +19 was a fluke for playing on an incredible team. Remember Vanek being a +47 that year also.
