But not on the ice with the first group. That group includes Paul Gaustad, Tim Connolly, Mike Grier, Cody McCormick, Jeff Cowan, Jochen Hecht, Clarke MacArthur and Toni Lydman.

I wonder if they're hammering out a deal.

If he is motivated enough then maybe he will preform better this year than he has the past two. Could be good. But I would feel safer knowing that he is signed now rather than waiting until like 2 weeks before the season to find out he isnt being signed.
