Anybody know why we play Winnipeg 3 times, and we don't play any other teams from the 2 western conferences at all? I know there are a lot of challenges putting together a league schedule on such short notice, but something's fucked.

Winnipeg is still in the East.

Jesus Fucking Christ, this league is so goddamn incompetent. The re-alignment was the only constructive thing they've done in years, and they're too damned stupid to even put that into place!!!

Thanks for the update, Van.

Edit: when I say "the league" I mean the whole cluster fuck that is the owners/NHLPA, etc. It looks like the blame for this one is actually more on the union and Fehr.

Because of the lockout, they decided to push realignment back to the 2013-2014 offseason. I'd say this was the right call, given the upheaval the league and players have already dealt with.

Agreed. They had to push it back, can`t really institue a whole new face to the whole league conference and schedule wise if the 82 regular season is almost cut in half.

Looks like the Leino Grigorenko Ott line has some chemistry. Hope Leino makes me eat my words about buying him out

I have been saying put him with something comparable to what he had in Philly and he will tear some shit up. You got your playmaker and grinder to put Leino in a good position to get at it this season. If this continues Grigs is up to stay. All the players say he has the players body and none of the rookie jitters and common mistakes. He carries the pucks and makes defenses open up to scoring chances. Roll three lines!!!!

Winnipeg gets a redhot poker right up the ass with this schedule. Either 3 or 4 games in each of Washington, Carolina, Miami, and Tampa. If they make the playoffs, they should be given a first round bye.
