Yeah Regehr was vastly overrated IMO. Hope he leaves this offseason. He was definately not calgarys best defenseman. I disagree with you about Sulzer he's been awesome this season don't know why u don't see that? I believe we should call up McNabb he was awesome last year way better to have then Leopold. It's give us some physicality back there. Other than Weber no one really has a physical aspect to there game on the blue line. Hopefully this firing will spark some trades coming our way.

Sulzer is a train wreck in his own end most nights.

That +4 is pretty hard to ignore.

Haha, the old +/- argument. Ya got me.

BUT HE HAS POINTS!

It helps that Sulzer plays with Ehrhoff.

I'm gonna closely watch Sulzer this game, and so far. I don't see any of this "trainwreck" stuff right now. If he is a slow skater that's different, but Regher is slow.

Was that 2 on 1 not exactly what I had just posted about Sulzer to a "T"???????? Kessel did his homework.

He usually flips around at about the red line after skating to full speed, and can't make a play until the face-off circle

perfect.

I hope you watched closely on that 2-on-1.

Sulzer loses a lot of 1-1 battles, He's soft. I had an eye on him in the first period and he got pushed around a lot, then he took the holding penalty. The shot was nice but I'd rather have a decent d-zone guy than the occassional point.

Rob Ray disagrees.

Yea, and he played it fine. Kessel froze Miller there with his fake shot, I don't get how that is on Sulzer. He took away the pass there, and moved his stick when he thought the shot was going to be taken so it wouldn't be deflected.

Have you ever played defense in an ice hockey game before?

It isn't that it was Sulzer's fault, but watch his body mechanics on the play. Not good. He's a guy that as he plays more, other coaches watch film on him, and make a book. Then a guy who was doing ok, becomes the target he really is/was. If you think Sulzer is legit, that's ok, but I disagree. He will only look the same or worse as time goes on.

Words for the wise: don't listen to Rob Ray. He though we played another good game(solid effort) tonight.

Ya agreed Ray's not the best to listen to about hockey. Maybe hockey fights or the big hit but rest is a big NO.

He's a team employee. What do you expect from Ray? He's a smart hockey guy, but it's very rare that he's just going to come out and say "yeah, you know, they just sucked tonight."

As for Sulzer, that's pretty spot on. Teams go after him. It's noticeable. But hey, the stat column says he's good. Again. It helps he plays with Ehrhoff. Put him with anybody else, and he wouldn't be what you guys all seem to think he is.

Edit: On second thought, maybe it's just the fact that Rob Ray compared to Harry Neale is like the wheel compared to what they used before that.

Oh, I understand Rayzor is a Sabre employee, I'm just urging viewers not to post his comments on message boards assuming they're correct.

It was a pretty moving presser. Look, I WISH Lindy was able to turn this team into a perrenial powerhouse and snatch a cup or two along the way. The guy has a great heart and a lot of love for the team, the city and the fans. However, time to move on was overdue. I hope he has a great future and I'm sure he'll make it onto another team. Hopefully not in our division

Best end to a presser ever....

"If you want to know what I'll be doing, I'll be driving from Tim Hortons to Tim Hortons...it's roll up the rim time."
*walks out*

So much win. Happy trails Lindy.

Well when you have a clear cut open 2 on 1 with Kessel and Van Riemsdyke and that's all you can shit on Sulzer for, you must be grasping for straws, eh? Maybe Rayzor's right on this one.

Easy trigger, I was saying Rayzor said they once again played a strong game when they clearly didn't, but yes, even a blind squirrel gets a nut. I also said I didn't blame Sulzer.

And Sulzer playing it right is the wrong thing to do apparently. Him and Miller thought Kessel was going to shoot and he passed instead. I thought Kessel was going to shoot too, he fooled everyone.

Sulzer's stick was moved since he didn't want to deflect the puck into the net.
