Get a shutout this season?

Given the play in front of him at this point, it's highly unlikely.

I'll also add that I don't think this is needed discussion right now. The fans and team would be pretty happy with a win and 2 points. A S/O would just be icing on the cake.

I think the bigger question is will Miller resign with the Sabres?

Not that he hasn't had stretches of not so good play in his career, but he doesn't deserve what's been happening in front of him this year...and next year is the last year of his deal.

Very true. Between the defense letting him down, the fact that we suck, his frequent whining, and his wife living in SoCal, I don't think he's coming back. We obviously aren't going to do shit this year (and probably next year), so I'd like to see us trade him ASAP.

Miller loves this city. I highly doubt he wants to go anywhere other than here, and uh doesn't Millers' wife live here, too? The whole "Millers' Wife" argument has been used and ridiculed so many times already.

Living somewhere doesn’t necessarily mean you live there happily ever after. Ask Pronger’s wife about Edmonton. Miller’s wife may list Buffalo as her residence, but she’s an actress who works in Hollywood and obviously spends a lot of time there, and she has no roots in Buffalo. She’s on Anger Management which is filmed in LA, not Buffalo. Where do you think she would rather live?

If she’s not forcing Miller out of Buffalo, and Miller wants to finish out his career here, that’s fine with me as long as he continues to produce. What I’m worried about is that he does NOT want to stay, in which case, let’s move him ASAP.

But you automatically assume Miller will go to a team in California.

Well if he wants to spend more time with her, Cali would probably be the best bet.

I doubt a team takes him just because of his wife.

ya nows the time to trade miller. he may love the city of buffalo but i'm 100% sure he wants to win a cup it doesnt even seem like we will be a playoff team anytime soon. trade him now and once he's ufa lure him back here. that way he gets a shot at a cup with a playoff team and maybe when he's a ufa we will have made enough moves to make this team a contender

We have Enroth, the man who will lose us the rest of our games, but at least he will go along with the rest of the team.

It sucks that Vanek can't produce like he was early in the year now. Then we would actually have a chance to win games.

Van has had some chances that he needs to burry, no question. But I'm still betting that he's battling some type of injury (back issue?) That doesn't offer any excuse for the rest of the team.

As for goaltenders, I don't think Miller is mailing it in. IF there is any truth to him wanting out of Buffalo, why would he put up stinker after stinker to try to better his value? Miller played great early on, but yet again, the team seemed to collapse in front of him. Now, I'm not a Miller homer, but he is far from being the biggest issue right now.

Millers not what he used to be. he's still a good goalie just not what he used to be. best way we get a better team is deal him asap get a nice return and hope for the future.

hes not? because miller has been one of the few bright spots this season. maybe if this team didnt completely suck, his talent level would show better.

do not trade miller. our goaltending after him is atrocious.

Miller is not the problem. If we trade Miller we need a No.1 goalie and a backup in return. Without Miller we'd have been blown out a lot. Right now we can't afford to trade Miller because we don't even have a decent backup.

Don't have a decent backup? For real guy? Enroth is a pretty good backup. Now I'm not saying he's a starter but 100% he's better then most backups in the league IMO. Now I'm not saying he's the Schneider and Luongo punch but he's pretty solid for backup.

Unless we turn shit around next season in a big way I guarantee Miller leaves via free agency. Might as well try and get something for him then let an asset like that walk like we did with Briere and Drury.

Let's get real here, Enroth blows.

He's lost, what, at least all of his last 15 starts?

Sure, we can say that's a usage thing, but there's entire league's worth of backup goalies I'd take over Jhonas Enroth.

Enroth sucks, it's been over two years since the guy has won a game.
