So Patty K is scheduled to have a hearing today at 3pm. The hearing will take place over the phone meaning the maximum number of games he can be suspended is 5.

Do you believe they simply throw the max at him due to his past offences or does he get off with 1-2?

he shouldn't even be suspended, richards caught and edge and dove like a sissy. he writhed around like he got shot in the dick, but he never missed a shift. look at him kick his skates out in the video and watch patty just barely tap him with already extended armswith nothing more than a few pounds of force. it was just a jab.

there should be nothing done. but i bet he gets 2

I've watched the hit a few times now, and I'm not defending Kaleta for the decision to make contact that close to the boards. In most cases (Except the Brown on Kaleta hit), refs will address it and the league will hand down a suspension if needed when contact of any kind is made that close to the boards. It was a shitty decision gone badly, but what the hell was Richards addressing as his main injury when flopping all over the ice? First it was his arm, then forearm, then collar bone area; pretty sure he grabbed his leg at some point too. The fact he came back in the game, in my opinion, won't weigh in one bit on any games off his sentence.

My opinion is 2 games if they have to hand down anything but they'll likely slap him with 5 because it's Patty, which is an absolute fucking joke.

He'll get the book thrown at him because his last name is Kaleta.

He barely touched the fucking guy. Sometimes shit happens and it is a fluke. Pat didn't do anything wrong in my opinion. He made contact yes but he sure as hell didn't board the guy. If you can push over a professional hockey player that easy then sign me up.

And Girardi should get a game or two for bis board on Ennis. Yes Ennis turned ever so slightly at the end, but it was also a board, plus Ennis isn't a pussy like Richards so he actually got right back up and continued to play that shift.

Yup. It's funny that he's thriving around in pain, holding every body part he has (even though his face went into the boards) then starts playing a few minutes later. Ennis has a bigger sack than that D-bag. Girardi should be suspended, too, if Kaleta is. A two minute would've been enough.

it was a wrong play by kaleta but total oscar winning performance by richards. i forget who was involved in basically same play a lil later on but we only got a 2 minute pp. just because kaleta is a pest doesn't mean he should be treated any different then anyone else in the game.

Yet Girardi gets NOTHING for doing basically the same thing to Ennis.

What a fucking joke this league is.

I really don't understand this league sometime. Flyers forward Henry Zolnierczyk got 4 games for this hit against the Sens Lundin.

That warrants four games but Kaleta gets 5?

Read it here for yourself. Four games for charging. He left his feet by the looks of it and Lundin actually never came back to the game. I also believe Zolniercykz was suspended literally two games before this. Ridiculous

Just watched the replay of the Kaleta hit again, and Richards' arm was what saved him. He knew Kaleta was behind him also as he looked directly at him before the hit. And I didn't see it in the game, but as I was saying earlier, Richards' arm was the first point of contact with the boards. It sure looked like he was going to dive if hit after he turned his head at Kaleta first.

Stop being homers. This shit, in any form, no matter the player's name on the back or the logo on the front, is reckless and dangerous. Not only that, but Kaleta's about fucking useless anyways.
