Time on ice also has a lot to do with how they're shifted. Grigorenko is probably taking less than 1:00 minute shifts.

Ok, so Vanek is a low 30 goal scorer, I was wrong. Vanek will no way be a consistent 40 goal scorer but i digress... I think everyone just needs to accept the fact the Grigorenko just wasn't ready for the NHL. Give him some more time in the lower leagues, hell give him some time in Rochester too. Wouldn't hurt, that's for sure. It's not like this team will be anywhere near a cup contender for years to come.

While they ate a year of his ELC, he only played 22 games, so it didn't count as a year of service, so his free agency wasn't accelerated.

Basically only cost them money. That they have.
