The hardest working player on the team. That MF'er hits like no ones business, pisses the other team off, and comes up big when this teams needs a hero. I hope they give him the C next season, he DESERVES IT more than pomminpuss...

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

Nobody's perfect. ;)

I was thinking about this situation last night...I'd like Ott to wear the C next year, but I don't want to lose Pommers. He's a good player and a nice guy, just not really C material. Sadly, I think he was the best option at the time. Wht do you think about him just trading the C for an A? Do you think he's the kind of guy who could handle that situation? He seems like he could, to me.

I'm minded of the time Perrault wore the C. I never thought he was a good Captain, but he was obviously a great player and teammate.

I think it's time for Poms to move on. This "core" has had quite some time to start winning and keep winning; this formula hasn't proved succesful here so it may be time to move him.

One of Vanek or Pominville should be traded. I'd keep Vanek just because of his scoring ability. But on the other hand Vanek would bring in more through trade.

Miller should be on his way out. He's not what he used to be. Time to move on.

On the Ott side of things if Darcy or who ever is the GM of the Sabres doesn't resign him I honestly will not know what to think of this team. The guy should already be wearing the C still don't know why Poms is wearing. Doubt he even deserves an A.

None of us still actually know how Pommers is in the locker room with that C on his chest.

Another really good candidate for the C is Ehrhoff, he is really calm and cool on the ice and just makes others play better with him.

Obviously we want a hard working guy like Ott as a Captain, but Pominville is just as hard of a worker on the ice as Ott. He just doesn't have the size like Ott, plus he has more god given ability so he doesn't need to.

We also have had points in 9 of our last 12 games with Pommers as a Captain. And are 8-5-3 since Rolston took over.

So apparently Steve Ott is the Sabres' version of Steve Johnson...

Stevie Johnson from the Bills. Takes stupid penalties sometimes.

I'm not sure if Ott is a C type of player, but I was ecstatic when we got him and this is exactly why. The guy's a fucking gamer! 100%'er every night.

BTW, Patrick Roy had, what, 2600 PMS in his career?? Would you bitch about it if you were a Montreal or Colorado fan at the time?
