97% renewal rate for season ticket holders. They also increased the amount of season tickets by 600.... So there is only 2500 people on the waiting list now

Maybe its just people wanting to see Vanek and Miller last season with the Sabres.

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

Not surprised. There are only so many buckets a Buffalo sports fan can put their money in.
The Sabres will still have some of the best broadcast numbers too.

from a business prospective, they are in the best position ever. They have all time highest amount of season tickets being sold with one of the lowest payrolls in the NHL and about to unveil a new jersey. They are making money hand over fist. Why they hell would they care what product they put on the ice. Doesn't matter.... They know that, no matter what is on the ice, the fans will still come....in droves.

Running a hockey team isn't exactly a worthwhile investment... Only two teams are *actually* making a profit.

Heads up, Buffalo isn't one of them. This organization isn't in it for the money, I think we can establish that right now. And if they truly didn't care, they wouldn't be trying to gather all these prospects. They realize Buffalo is a team that can't get good enough to win, but can't get bad enough to lose to get a better draft pick, although it's taken them a while to realize this. While I'm not very happy with how Darcy has been running things this summer, it's not for money or because he's a prick, it's probably a difference of his opinion or other outside factors.

Having lived through the end of the Knox era, and the Rigas ownership, I can tell you with certainty that there is a point fans will stop attending games if the product isn't good enough.

How horrible an organization they are to be making efforts to improve, while providing you an entertainment product that you can consume down in VA for no money.

Don't like what they're doing? Don't spend money on them. REALLY fucking simple.
