The angle isn't all that great from here, but I sat 8 rows from the ice in the exact spot this hit occurred, and Kaleta definitely got his head, or at least it looked that way. It didn't look good.

Exactly, how many repeat offenders walk away with less than what they've previous been given. He's already given 5 games for the hit on Richards. Now he's suspended until the hearing on Tuesday.

Idk what to make of the hit. It was a shoulder (I think?) and the guy pulled up... His last "dirty" hit was on Richards, which was not dirty at all and he should've won an oscar for that diving performance.

The angle on the hit in the video is really bad. I was sitting 8 rows away from where the hit occurred, and I can tell you it was high, and that my immediate reaction was that he was going to be suspended for it. That being said, I don't know what the league saw from that angle, because that could have been anything, plus Johnson stayed in the game.

yeah, poor kaleta. hes gone out and runs everything in sight, including many dirty ass hits. how sad hes built himself a negative reputation and the NHL holds him accountable for that when he crosses the line.

For any other player, sure, 1-2, maybe even 3 games. Kaleta's been suspended how many times and still hasn't learned.
