Well, as we all probably heard, Miller and Ott are St. Louis Blues now.

No word on who is coming back though at this time.

Officially on the Blues site. http://blues.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=706959

ST. LOUIS - The Blues have acquired goaltender Ryan Miller and forward Steve Ott from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Jaroslav Halak, Chris Stewart, prospect William Carrier, a first-round draft pick in 2015 and a third-round draft pick in 2016.

I like it. Got the picks, got another goalie, got a bruiser forward who can put up some points (and needed a change in scenery), and some prospect who seems to have done decent in the QMJHL.

There are rumors - I repeat RUMORS - that both Halak and Stewart will be traded very soon, especially Stewart.

If that's true, then we would most likely be getting a top forward for them.

We are trading players for players and picks and then probably trading said players for more picks. At what point do we just ask the NHL if we have done enough to get McDavid? Honestly I am feeling good about how this season is going in terms of the future. Hopefully that Ehrhoff crap is not true.

Gotta get enough picks next year to try and take the run at McDavid.

Halak is a pending UFA next year.

Do you think Nolan splits Halak and Enroth's starts evenly from now on?

Halak is gone in two days tops. Bet they don't even stitch a sweater.

It's time to go full tilt on Jhonas and see what we have. The guy has solid numbers

Here's a thought, now that we have more picks in the first few rounds than many teams have in the entire draft; How about keeping some guys?? Halak is no joke as a goalie. Stewart led the Blues in scoring last year. Think we might need a veteran goal scorer for a change?

BTW, what's Buffalo's record since Nolan came in?

Sabres get a first-rounder in 2014 if the Blues reach the conference final or Ryan Miller re-signs w/St. Louis.

Wow. This might be one of the trades that's good for both sides. I don't think Halak will stay though.
