Our PP needs help. Sheldon Souray would help greatly. You guys have brought up Schneider, but Souray is a better option to save our woeful PP.

Obviously he has a large salary. He's due 5.5 million this year, and 4.5 million the next two years after that.

The Oilers are struggling badly, and he won't be part of their future. He's an old player with a large salary, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was moved.

The cap makes this slightly unrealistic, but I wanted to get your thoughts/ideas about this.

He has a ridiculous cannon of a shot, and is known for his PP QB skills...however, his salary and duration of his contract makes this trade prohibitive - especially the duration of his contract.

And overpaid, yes. But still, it's an interesting thought if we wouldn't have to give up too much and somehow find a way to accommodate that salary.

Heck, after this year, we could find a buyer for him and hopefully find a cheaper, better defensive option for our PP.

He's also somewhat injury prone. Our D has had it's share of bumps and bruises this season so far. I'd love to see a real QB back there with that shot, but at the risk of him sitting in the press box more so than on the bench or spending time on the ice, no thanks.

Me neither but if they want him as an add on then take him. Edm is pretty bad at judging talent. Maybe they see what Darcy saw when he drafted him.
