The guy is having a career year and he is on a bad team in Tampa. I would love to see him in a Sabres uniform, anyone else?

Lightening have scoring issues. I doubt they'd trade him.

Malone's cap hit is $4.5M.

That means the Sabres would have to figure out a way to clear a boatload of cap space to add him.

Not for that contract.
Wait, well maybe if the Sabres could get a guy like Jochen Hecht or Jason Pominville off the roster. Right in between those two guys salary wise, and kind of brings mixture of what those two bring. The only thing that scares me is what if he is just having a hot year. Than that contract is a Jochen sized overpayment.

Wait til Jay finds this thread - he's been talkin' big about Malone all year, and with good cause.

We in Buffalo be a buy low sell high group - ain't happenin, but I am pleased with Rivet and Montador!!

Look for someone who is having an awful year, but could reserect their career, and that is who we might get in the future - never anyone who is on the top of their game ;)

While Malone is arguably overpaid, he does bring an element of toughness, with some scoring touch.

I especially like his game in the playoffs......

If they would take Salary in return, I'd say go for it.

I would be grateful for anyone who is bigger and tougher than Roy and Connolly, as long as we get rid of Roy or Connolly, and replace them with someone with some size, grit and determination, which will greatly benefit our current roster come playoff time - I picture someone like Grier or Gaustad, with more scoring touch!!

I HAVE A DREAM
