It's likely Sathier is going to get the boot, especially with the rags missing the playoffs. from what i've read most people are predicting it. So it is possible that Drury could get bought out. I'd take him back at a reasonable price.

If he gets bought out....I would take him back. Current contract? GOD NO. I think he would do well back in Buffalo and would provide the type of leadership up front this team has been lacking since he and Danny both left for greener pastures.

Ohhh yeah that 7M dollar Drury contract...but wait...Drury is playing a 3rd and 4th line role with them...is it possible that they buy him out this summer? Save the cap space and go after Kovie?

I wouldn't put it past the Rangers, they've got deep pockets.

If so, would it be worth signing him to a 2 year 2.5-3M per year contract?

I'm a huge Drury fan, so I could be thinking way outside the box, but does this situation seem possible to anyone else? Especially if the Rangers miss the playoffs this year?
