he will be a free agent this offseason and ottawa has the choice to resign him or let him go. he has a 2.8m contract and a 2nd line center. he's pretty cheap for that kind of a player. i dont know, it was a thought that popped into my head, tell me what you think.

One word, no. I rather have Ennis or Gerbe.

If all we needed was another center in addition to Connolly and Roy I'd be ok going after him. We need two d-men and a RW more than another center though. I think Cullen is a good value for under 3 mil for any team in need of a center with special teams skills.

Cullen is not a second line center, he's a third line center, when he went to the Rangers to be their second line center he failed, he came back to Carolina as the third line center and did just what he did when he won a cup.

He's a defensive forward and would be a great addition to the third line, but if you want a top center or top 2 center, Cullen is not the man for that job.

Agree that he is not a second line center. I do like that he has a cup ring though. That seems to be a common denominator on teams that go far in the playoffs- having players that have previously won a cup. I think that a couple vets with cup experience would do wonders for this team.

He would be that second PPQB but as stated he wouldn't be a first line center. and darcy apparently tried to get him near the deadline.
