A PP QB would be nice, but we're 5 on 5 more often than not, and the majority of our scoring comes from it. I would like to see, by time-on-ice percentage what the goals average is (how many goals per minute of 5 on 5 vs per minute on the PP)

I'd put them in this order:

#1 center
PP QB Dman
Backup goalie

A back up goalie is much less of a factor than people make it out to be. I would have put "reliable D-man" in it's spot on the poll. Sick of watching Butler, Shakira and Rivet fail at their positions and leaving Miller out on the line. My first choice would be a true headline making forward or a Power Forward since we obviously need to beef up our scoring and then second would be a good d-man since we need more skill in our own zone and then a PP stud so we can take advantage of those chances instead of embarrassing ourselves.

Why isn't 1st line RW on this list? Thats what we desperately need. Sorry I love Tim Kennedy too, but he takes stupid penalties, and hasn't displayed a skill set of a Shane Doan, or Bobby Ryan to justify the penalty minutes.

Bobby Ryan is RFA this off-season, just saying. US Olympian, impressive skill-set, strong dude, has serious wheels...he's going to command some serious offers this summer.

I said 1st line center. This allows Roy to be the #2 guy, which is a scary thing for other teams. Also, PPQB is something that we can grab from within, with Myers looking pretty decent at the point and Gragnani possibly having a chance to make the team if we ditch Loods and Hank. That #1 center, i'm guessing he would be taking Connolly's place if we could ditch him, or we could have Roy and Connolly battle it out and hop between #2 and #3 until the trade deadline.

My one qualm with Patty Marleau was that he vanishes in the playoffs when his team needed him, and guess what, he stepped up to be a huge factor in two important games, so I'm back in my old seat on the Marleau bandwagon! Throw some money at him (he's making 6.3 this season - ouch) and ditch Connolly or Roy at someone with Stafford and a pick in tow for an impact defenseman. Send an RFA and a pick at Anaheim for negotiating rights to Bobby Ryan, and sign him up.

New top line is Vanek-Marleau-Ryan. BOOSH!

I want a first liner badly but I also want Ben Eager. If the Sabres had any toughness in the playoffs they might have not been bounced.

Wolski is the kind of kid who might be able to make a big impact with big minutes, but I don't want to see Darcy take that chance. I want to see him (as much as this is out of character for him) bring in proven talent for the top line to compliment Vanek.

i think the chances of Darcy making a move for top talent is less likely than me growing fully functioning bitch tits.

exactly. We need the move but it won't happen. He'll get a few average players, make some lateral shifts at best and spin it like he's a brilliant and we fans just don't understand. And we'll be here next off season saying the same things.
