First of all, do the Sabres have an agitator? Over the course of an 82 game season, it's not imperative to have a guy play that role. But when you do have a guy like that on the team, it gives your opponents something to talk about. It makes your team that much tougher to play against. Tucker is kind of washed up in my opinion, but I don't see a better one out there via UFA.

The Sabres do have Kaleta, but is he really an agitator, or just an opportunistic grinder?

I would invite Tucker to camp, at around 750k.

He's 100% agitator. Think Matt the Rat with less offensive upside. (Kaleta, I mean)

He's got injury problems now and the only open spot is 4th line RW.

Ehhhhh I don't like Darcy Tucker.

Well, if you think Kaleta is enough then that's a good thing. But I still wouldn't mind if that role got a bit crowded. Adding some more vinegar @750k would be a good thing. If he wants like 1.5^ then forget it.

Kaleta is, statically, the best agitator in the league. I think we're good to go

Well, I like the idea, too. Don't get me wrong. But Tucker is over the hill, facing some injury issues, and is probably too slow to keep up with McCormick and Kaleta now.

I like the idea of adding more piss and vinegar, but I'm not keen on Tucker is all.

Besides, he's not very well liked 'round these parts. lol

That's a lofty boast. I watched first hand the job Ruutu can do and Make Cooke just had an absolutely EPIC season for the Penguins.

BTW check this fight out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRiLdkOI-KA

Still one of the better middle weight fights I've ever seen. Ruutu won it but Tucker is tough as nails.

Mecaphil, whatever did Mr.Tucker do to draw the ire of Sabre fans? :o

He was a long-time Maple Leaf. End of story

And yes, Kaleta is statistically-proven to be the best pest in the league. Three years running, in fact. No one draws more penalties per 60min TOI than Kaleta...in the entire NHL.

No need for a player like him, let alone that asshole himself. Kaleta has to stay healthy and just play his game and that role is filled. McCormick will skate and fight better than Mair, so the agitator/toughness/fighting roles are fairly well filled.

An issue that the Sabres should address is more scoring, bringing in another pylon is not something the Sabres need to even think about at the moment.

Sharko Ruutu is a shit wad. I would defecate in his pool, given the chance.
