Anyone out there that would like us to sign Ward? He's a great 2-way player and plays very good in the playoffs. In this years playoffs he lead the Predators with 13 points in 12 games, he was also a +4. He's actually tied for the league lead in goals for the playoffs right now with 7. Which is pretty incredible. I'd think this is the guy who could replace Grier's defensive skills and his offense and then some. He is up there in age though(30).

What do you guys think?

I don't want him. I'm not basing a signing over 1 playoff performance.

Then you don't watch him play. He'd be celebrated as a consummate 3rd liner or stacked team's 4th liner if he played in the EC.

And you should give an actual reason you don't want him. Saying you don't think he'll match his playoff stats isn't a reason. I don't see why you wouldn't want him to take Grier's spot. A 10-15 goal, 15-20 assist guy who can play more minutes and saw shorthanded time on the 5th best PK in the NHL? Sure he'll cost more, but it's not like he's going to see ridiculous money.

If we get a center like we should, we'll have Stafford, Pominville, Boyes, Kaleta, and Mancari or Kassian as reserves at RW. RW is the one position we're very well off at. Of course, if we stand pat and Boyes has to play center then we'll probably need someone.
