Conz is an undrafted 19 year old (to be 20 in sepetember)... however, the kids friggin good.

ill compile more stats on him.. he faced more then 300 shots in last years WJC, and despite his sub .900 save percentage and his 4.76 GAA, he was named the tournaments best goaltender.

hes 5-10, so hes undersized (still taller then enroth though) and could be a youngster getting time in the AHL next year.

anyways, would anyone else like to roll the dice on this kid?

i havnt seen much on this kid, just heard hes extremely talented and will likely get picked up as a free agent if not drafted soon.

Enroth is 5'10".

And yeah, I'd do it except that would the Amerks be well-served to have Leggio and Conz as their goaltenders? If the Sabres picked up an ECHL affiliate and put him there, I'd be 100% in favor of taking a chance on him so that a veteran could work with the kids on the farm.

ah, bump enroth and conz up an inch. HF has em at 5-11.

says he sits deep and plays very unusual which is effective.

id roll the dice on em.

Again, how is it good for development to have someone who has never played a game in North America backing up someone who has spent all of half a season as a starting goaltender?

id thank leggio and let him go, and sign someone who can log starting minutes in the AHL and can mentor conz. who that person is, i dont know at the time. i have no issues with the sabres drafting conz, and letting him play overseas for a year, or if they have an ECHL club, getting him minutes there. but if they have a chance to get conz, id do it.

gotta replenish the pipeline sooner or later.

theres a couple of goalies that were decent that can still back up, but will probably end up in the AHL.

erik ersberg really comes to mind.

who was enroths back up in 08-09? i cant remember.

Enroth's back-up in 08-09 was Adam Dennis LOL

yikes, scratch ersberg. hes in russia.

so with dennis being enroths backup, i mean come on he sucked. so conz inexperience and youth isnt that big a deal... considering it was probably enroth who mentored dennis.

hes a wild card, but one id love to try.

Draft that kid every time in NHL 11. Other than that I have no info on him lol. But yeah have him and Enroth, roll the dice on him. Seems like a good idea.

Isn't there a goalie coach there? If not, how about hiring Lalime to teach/mentor?

I think we only need a guy for 1 year. Connor Knapp will be playing his final year at Miami, OH this year and should be ready to compete for a spot after that.
