so I've been thinking with the Sharks once again failing to reach the Stanley Cup Finals when they clearly were one of the teams that should have been there at least 5-4 past years. IMO they are going to change it up this summer. My prediction is Brad Richards signs with Sharks then I'm hoping we can make a pitch for Marleau. I'm not sure who or what I'd trade for Marleau, any ideas?

We dont have a second rounder B&Y; but I dont think it would take that much to get Marleau if the sharks did sign Richards, they'd be massively over the cap, and Marleau could be had for similar to what Gagne brought to Tampa. Similar contracts, similar production, hell similar players.

Also Marleau has a NMC, so getting him to waive that would be pretty difficult.

Marleau never broke the 30 goal plateau until he was playing on the same line as the best playmaker in the league. I'd be iffy at best when it comes to trading for him.
