I just saw the 2nd round picks are not this years at all. 2014 and 2015 draft.

So basically just gave him away for nothing, but I still think it's fine.

What?

Did you think it was 2 picks from the same team in the same round in this upcoming draft? And do you think the fact that the picks are actually in 2014 and 2015 makes the deal worth nothing? Come on man, you're smarter than that.

Besides, what did we lose in the grand scheme of things? Absolutely nothing.

I did think it was two 2nd round picks from this draft. Trades could have happened before that caused the Kings to get another 2nd round pick this year.

And I mean the nothing part being more, it doesn't really help us now anyways. Unless we package those picks in another trade. These picks won't help us at the end of this year anyways, they might never help us, and who knows how those drafts will even be like.

I kinda wish we would have gotten a pick in this draft.

This rebuild ain't gonna be quick. That said, those two picks are great trade bait or additions to a bigger deal.

Like how Darcy stumbled in his interview with WGR when he definitely was going to say "rebuild". And said "build".

Well I still don't think we need a complete rebuild. We have some great assets already and just need more good players on the team.

Which adds credence to my trade bait thought.

Indeed it does.
